Maximilian Siener is Akademischer Rat at the Chair of Neuromechanics and Movement Sciences at the University of Bayreuth. His research focuses on neuromechanics, exercise and movement science, and biomechanics. His work centres on the analysis of human movement, the assessment of motor and cognitive abilities, and the development of innovative testing procedures for research and practical applications. A particular focus is placed on motor development across the lifespan, talent identification in elite sports, and injury and fall prevention using modern movement analysis systems. In addition, he leads large-scale movement and cognition assessments, in which more than 1,000 children are examined annually. His research integrates performance- and health-related perspectives with the aim of translating scientific findings into practical applications in sports, prevention, and health promotion.
