Africa Multiple Cluster of Excellence: Reconfiguring African Studies
The Africa Multiple Cluster of Excellence pursues an ambitious and innovative agenda of cooperation and research with the aim of reconfiguring Africa Studies in the global research landscape, both structurally and conceptually. Our faculty is represented through 11 out of 25 principal investigators and many more research members and affiliates.
Institute of African Studies (IAS)
The IAS hosts all activities related to Africa and African diasporas at the University of Bayreuth. A substantial share of our faculty are members of the IAS and active throughout various of its projects.
