Erasmus

Erasmus is a European Union program that supports study abroad opportunities as part of a student’s academic programme. Funding is available not only for semesters abroad within Europe, but also for stays outside the EU and for practical work experience.

The Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences encourages all students to take advantage of the unique opportunities offered by Erasmus and other programmes to gain international experience.

In the faculty-wide BA programme in Culture and Society, we strongly recommend a semester abroad, for which systematic provision is made within the curriculum. We are a cosmopolitan faculty and greatly value it when our students venture beyond national borders. At the same time, we warmly welcome all international students coming to Bayreuth and view their presence as an important enrichment.
