I am a Research Fellow at the Chair for Philosophy, Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence. My current research focuses on the ethics of artificial intelligence (AI). I studied philosophy at the University of Stuttgart. In my doctoral project at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and within the KIARA project (AI assistance for robot-assisted reconnaissance and defense against acute radiological hazards), I worked in the field of AI ethics. Specifically, I examined whether AI systems can reasonably be ascribed as moral agents and how ethical aspects such as well-being, justice, and transparency can be implemented in an AI system. My broader research interests include the philosophy of mind, metaethics, and action theory.
